Cannot open the Outlook window. Invalid XML, the view cannot be loaded

After launching Outlook 2007 or 2010, you receive the following error message:

"Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. Invalid XML, the view cannot be loaded."


 Solution

 To fix this error, run the following command from the Run box or click start and type below command in windows 7.

 Outlook.exe /ResetNavPane 

 What does Outlook.exe /ResetNavPane do? It clears and regenerates the Navigation Pane for the current profile. Basically, it removes all shortcuts and favorite folders from the Navigation Pane. Not a big deal, as most users leave the default favorite folders in place, but just something to consider.

How to remove a static IP configuration for an absent network adapter or uninstall hidden network adapter

In a scenario where you have physically removed hardware from a machine you can no longer see it in device manager.  This does not mean that it is gone.  Evidence of that is, if for example you had a network card that had a Static IP address set and you remove the card and add a new one then try to set the IP address to the same as the old NIC you will get an error message.
